From nancyaery@hotmail.com Wed Nov 21 16:27:29 2001 Date: Wed, 14 Nov 2001 11:27:38 -0800 From: Nancy Newsgroups: alt.food.asian Subject: Thai Beef Stir Fry Thai Beef Stir Fry 1 tablespoon oil 2 cloves garlic, minced 12 ounces beef sirloin, trimmed and cut into strips 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced 1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger 1 large bell pepper, cut into strips 1/2 zucchini, chopped 1/4 cup lime juice 3 tablespoon soy sauce 2 tablespoon brown sugar 1 teaspoon dried basil 1/2 teaspoon dried mint Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan. Add the garlic, jalapeno, and ginger and cook for about 1 minute. Add the beef strips and stir fry for 3 to 4 minutes, or to desired doneness. Then add the pepper and zucchini and cook lightly. Remove the beef and vegetables from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, stir together the lime juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, basil, and mint. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
