From raxyl@bigpond.net.au Wed Feb 27 09:30:44 2002 Date: Tue, 26 Feb 2002 02:20:00 +0000 (UTC) From: Craig Reply-To: Craig Newsgroups: rec.food.recipes Subject: Marinated Fried Fish Followup-To: rec.food.cooking, rec.food.recipes Marinated Fried Fish 4 Med Fish Fillets 4 limes 4 Jalapeno Chiles 2 Cloves of Garlic 2 Red Onions 1/4 Cup Olive Oil 1/2 Cup Water 1 tsp Allspice 1 Red Bell Pepper Plain Flour 1/2 Cup White vinegar Salt and Fresh ground Black Pepper Marinade Cut the 1 onion and 4 chilli's finely and add to a bowl with allspice and juice of 3 limes, water, minced garlic and a pinch of salt and pepper. Vinaigrette Chop 1 onion and the bell pepper finely, add vinegar and oil and mix. Cover the Fish fillets in the marinade and stand for about 1 to 2 hours. Heat more oil in a pan over a high heat, Dry off the Fish from the marinade and coat with flour. Place the fish in the pan and fry till golden brown (about 1-2 min per side. Place fish on serving platter and spoon over the vinaigrette, top with the juice from the remaining lime, and enjoy.
