I would eat jalapenos fresh while I was working in my garden. Then I found out about habaneros; big mistake. I guess you know that peppers are rated by the Scoville scale with jalapenos being 3000 while habaneros are 300, 000 Scoville units. So much for the garden lesson. Included is a recipe. Enjoy but please be careful. Bob Salsa 1 medium papaya, peeled, seeded and chopped (1 1/2 cups) 1 small cucumber, peeled and chopped (1 cup) 1 small carrot, shredded (1/3 cup) 1 habanero, seeded and chopped 1 tablespoon lime juice 1 tablespoon white vinegar 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt Combine, cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours for the flavours to blend but no longer that a couple of days -- ~~Rec.food.recipes is moderated; only recipes and recipe requests are accepted for posting.
