From ljohan@juno.com Tue Jun 20 13:21:34 2000 Date: Wed, 14 Jun 2000 11:51:18 -0500 From: Linda Johansen Newsgroups: rec.food.recipes Subject: Linguine with Red Pepper Sauce Followup-To: rec.food.cooking Linguine with Red Pepper Sauce serve 6 3 red peppers 3 Tbsp olive oil 1 large onion, sliced 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1/2 tsp chili powder or flakes 1/2 cup cream 2 Tbsp chopped fresh oregano 1 lb linguine (plain or spinach) Seed peppers, Roast until black and blistered (on grill or over gas range). When cool, remove skin and cut flesh into thin strips. Heat the oil in a large pan. Add onion and stir over low heat for 8 minutes. Add peppers, garlic, chili and cream. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add oregano and salt and pepper, season to taste.
