Wash & soak lentils in warm water for 30 mins. 2. Slice green chillies and peel garlic. Shred cabbage finely. 3. Boil lentils with 1 1/2 cup water, green chillies, garlic and a pinch of turmeric until lentils are soft. Drain of extra water. 4. Add cabbage, cumin, pepper and salt till cabbage is cooked. 5. In a separate pan, melt ghee, add chilli bits, onion slics and mustard seeds. Fry or cook till onion and chilli are browned. 6. Add the fried onions to the cabbage dish, stir well. Note: When I cook this dish I omit the cumin and pepper. Enjoy !!!
